When I first started the Catering and Hospitality course at ATTFE College I was excited to be working towards a qualification in an area that I had a passion and love for.
It had been a long time since I last studied and I was apprehensive of how I would juggle it with having two young children to care for during a World Wide pandemic. I need not have worried as my tutor Louise gave me an easy to follow, bespoke learning plan with work booklets to complete at my own pace from home. I was able to contact Louise for support and advice via phone calls and email and Louise conducted regular catch up sessions to exchange feedback and course work, which were an invaluable part of my learning.
With the supportive feedback that Louise gave to me and also having my work featured on the ATTFE face book page, it helped me to recognise my abilities and gave me pride & confidence in my work and my skills.
I learnt many things on the course. As well as learning how to cook healthy meals, I also developed and gained good time management skills and the importance of paying attention to detail. With my newly found confidence, I was able to present myself better in interviews and showcase the skills I had gained.
I have now successfully gained employment as an Online Customer Support Administrator for Slimming World. I am so excited to be starting this job as I'm passionate about the company and have experienced great results with their plans. I am looking forward to sharing my new knowledge and supporting members on their own personal journey.
