Sunday Morning Services Are Being Temporarily Held in the Parish Hall
The construction phase of the Organ Renovation Project is Underway
The historic organ renovation project that was announced during January’s Focus Group meetings has officially begun. As of April 12, and for the duration of the project, Sunday services will be temporarily held in the Parish Hall. Though we don’t know the exact timeframe, we have been told to anticipate the project will last a few months.

Playground
Kathy Capp will watch the Sunday School class during summer services and walk them back to the Parish Hall after the service is over. Ages 5-12 are welcome. Under 5 are welcome with an adult. If raining, the group will stay under the gazebo. Children should dress for play/dirt/occasionally paint.

Young parishioners are invited to participate in the Acolyte Ministry at any 10:00 a.m. Sunday service (and we offer thanks to our youth who currently participate in this important ministry!). No experience required. You will be excellently trained!

Each team works together on Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. to set up for Sunday services. Set-up takes about an hour. No experience necessary and training will be provided!

“When two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
This pops into my head when I think about my time at St. Thomas’. The last church I attended was small—a lovely church, but small. While the size of that church certainly fits my introverted personality, it doesn’t fit my desire for ministry that reaches beyond our doors and makes an impact in the community.
The breadth of ministry happening at St. Thomas’ is inviting to all. If you want, you can find a place to serve the church and the community at St. Thomas’. And in doing that, we become more like Jesus, the ultimate servant. I think about this a lot as I work on our Stewardship efforts. Every person has gifts and skills that they can share, and this church community offers those opportunities to each of us.
This touches on why St. Thomas’ is important to me. I have found ways to grow in my faith and service that I couldn’t find in the small church. I could share a list of our many ministries, and I have done that in Stewardship letters, but the real reason that I make the (longer than I’d like) drive to St. Thomas’ is this: I am a better Christian because of this church. The ministries that I have enjoyed, most notably Stewardship and Bible Study, have fostered my growth as a Christian.
I don’t have a long history here. I didn’t grow up here. And I don’t have family buried in the cemetery. I think St. Thomas’ is more than a neighborhood church that people want to support because it’s always been here, and they want it to stay. In the diocese, this church is known as a “ministry standout.” In just the four years that I’ve been here, I’ve seen this church grow into being that ministry standout. And, I’m grateful to be a part of it.

Our goal is to contact 100% of the St. Thomas’ parish families and seek 100% participation.
Every gift regardless of size represents a commitment to the future of St. Thomas’. | Help Provide Food and Life Essentials to Owings Mills Households in Need! |

|
The Community Crisis Center has been addressing hunger and hardship in the Owings Mills area by providing our neighbors in need with supplemental food and essentials for over 40 years, rebuilding hope and self-reliance. They recently lost a major donor and face rising food costs and funding cuts—all while serving more and more families every month (they served 175 monthly in 2019 and now serve over 1,000 monthly).
How You Can Help the Most Right Now:
- Purchasing specific priority items listed to the below and dropping them off at the Parish Office. Note: CCC Priorities have changed to now include bar soap and shampoo. Our goal is 75+ for each item, each month.

1-5 | That's a wrap!! 4 weeks of Summer Fun officially ended in June. In Week 4, campers explored all things ART/ATELIER! Our Bluejays and Cardinals groups had fun with water, mud, and sensory play. From painting with puffy paint, to exploring goopy oobleck, they had a blast creating both individual and collaborative masterpieces. On the last day, there was a special visit from The Cow to celebrate all of the birthdays we will miss over the summer months.
