Local entrepreneurs draw inspiration from LEAP Community Bootcamp

Forty local entrepreneurs recently concluded the first-ever Community Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs as part of the Leon Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program (LEAP). The program was introduced by Florida State University’s Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship and Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship and brought together by close partnerships with local nonprofit groups, government offices, small businesses and other university partners across Leon County. Read more ...

Florida State University’s School of Dance Presents ‘An Evening of Dance’

FSU’s School of Dance presents “An Evening of Dance,” showcasing five groundbreaking choreographic works. The performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre, located in Montgomery Hall on the FSU campus. Friday evening will include a pre-show discussion beginning at 6:30 p.m., offering the audience insight into the creative process behind the performances. Read more ...

Laura Reina, FSU Distinguished Research Professor and Joseph F. Owens Endowed Professor in the Department of Physics, is the recipient of the 2024 Jesse W. FSU chemist awarded Department of Energy grant to study platinum group elements

Robert Schurko, a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and director of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Facility at the FSU-headquartered National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, received renewed funding this fall for his project, “Unraveling the mysteries of the platinum group elements with multinuclear solid-state NMR spectroscopy.” Read more ...
