Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We want you to know there is a misleading instruction on our municipal ballots.
For at-large city councilor races, the instruction says “Vote for TWO”.
What’s actually meant is “Vote for UP TO two (in at-large races)".
We have confirmed with the city clerk’s office that your ballot is valid whether you vote for two candidates, or for one, or even for none.
We encourage you ALWAYS to vote for city council candidates you want (up to two per race), but NEVER to vote for candidates you don’t want. Voting for people you don’t want dilutes the votes you gave to people you do want.
Please be aware of this as you fill out your ballots on Election Day - Tuesday, November 2nd.
