David's Comment: Israel - Dividing the Sheep and the Goats
Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who make light of you ( GOD speaking to Abraham )
As the Israel war with Hamas enters the 5th week, the secular media is reporting that the political and public support for Israel, which was strong at the beginning of this conflict, is rapidly decreasing as the number of deaths, injuries and destruction in the Gaza Strip increases. The of numbers of people attending the anti Israel protest rallies is also increasing by the week, as well as the number of attacks against Jewish people and Jewish property in many countries. It is getting so serious that Israelis are now being advised by the government not to travel unless it is very necessary.
This growing level of hatred against Israel and the Jewish people is not a new thing. Every time Israel has had to send our air-force and army out to respond to terrorism and rocket fire, from Gaza and Lebanon, the people who hate Israel and the Jews, rise up to protest the right of Israel to fight back against our enemies who want to kill and destroy us. Of course many of the protesters are Muslims who are brainwashed by the influence of their religious leaders to despise and hate the very existence of Israel, but there are also large numbers of non Muslims protesting with them.
Sadly, hatred of the Jewish people and the desire to wipe us out has been around for thousands of years. Last Saturday, one of our pastors spoke about this ancient hatred going all the way back to the Amalekites who tried to destroy the Israelite on their journey to the Promised Land. The Amalekite spirit has continued to attempt to destroy the descendants of those Israelites ever since, through people like Haman, the Babylonians, the Greeks, the Romans and the Nazis. And it is the same Amalekite spirit that is still trying to destroy Israel and the Jewish people today, using the so called 'Palestinians' and all those who stand with them.
The history of the Church since the second century has not been good either, with almost 2000 years of hatred and violence against the Jewish people. Could it be that is the influence of that same Amalekite spirit behind Replacement Theology which caused that behaviour and still teaches that the Church is the New Israel, and now ancient Israel has no place in the plan of GOD ? Because of of this un-Biblical theology many pastors and Bible teachers are standing against Israel and against the plans and purposes of GOD, teaching Bible ignorant people to do the same. Praise GOD that today there are millions of true Christians like you, who have had a Holy Spirit revelation of the truth, who love the GOD and Messiah of Israel, and love and care for Israel and the Jewish people.
In light of Genesis 12:3 and what I have written above, it is clear to see that how people behave towards Israel is one of the ways that GOD will use to judge and separate the sheep from the goats. Sadly at this point of time there are many more goats than sheep in the world, not just over Israel, but because they do not acknowledge the GOD of Israel, and His Son Yeshua as Messiah and Lord. Yeshua warned the people around Him that the consequences of not being in covenant with the GOD of Israel are eternity in Hell, and billions of goats are heading in that direction.
We need to pray that all of the goats in the world today, especially our family members, friends, neighbors, people we work with, and whoever we encounter daily, get right with GOD and get right about Israel. We need to pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal the truth to them, and that the billions of goats in the world today will become sheep.
Josie and I want to thank and bless all of you in the 'sheep' group who are standing with and speaking up for Israel, and praying as never before for Israel and our family, the IDF soldiers and the hostages, and thank you and bless you for the increased financial support that you are sending to us, to the soldiers and to others in need at this very challenging time. The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Please pray that all of the Jewish people will return to Israel and turn back to their GOD and Messiah. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
