David's Comment: Four More Hostages Recovered, but ........
I am sure that most of you heard the news that broke last Friday evening, that 3 more hostages had been brought back to Israel after being found in Gaza. A 4th body was announced on Saturday evening. Here in Israel the news came as a long overdue breakthrough, but sadly it was the lifeless bodies of 2 young women and 2 men, that were recovered. For their families and friends, the return of the remains of their loved ones, will at least enable them to respectfully bury their bodies and bring some closure to the life changing 7 months of grief and pain that they have endured, but I am sure life will never be the same again.
I am not despising small beginnings, but there are still about 128 hostages yet to be found and brought home, and thousands of their families and friends who are still enduring the grief and pain of not knowing when, and in what condition they will be returned. And of course millions of Jews in Israel and in the nations, true Bible believing Christians, and millions of other decent people around the world are rightfully identifying with the grief and pain of those in Israel who are suffering from personal loss, and many of them are praying !
Each day that goes by is a further risk to the hostages who are still alive, but who sadly may yet die from illness and mistreatment if not rescued very soon. If it took months for 4 bodies to be found and brought home, as I have been saying for 7 months now, only a miracle will make it possible to recover the remaining hostages from the hands of Hamas and Islamic Jihad. For now the war and the search for hostages continues, but Benny Gantz has threatened to leave the coalition war government unless PM Netanyahu meets his conditions, which could cause the current government to collapse and the end of the war, leaving Hamas the victory, and making the release of the hostages even less likely without a miracle.
We know that the GOD of Israel can do the impossible, and the only thing that we can do is petition Him in prayer, as we have been asking you to do in previous comments and in the prayer points at the end of the news items. Please do press in and pray for the government to hold together and for the immediate return of all the hostages - both require a miracle !
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to occupy and defend all of the land covenanted to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Please pray that all of the Jewish people will turn back to their GOD and Messiah. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a revelation of the real Messiah for the Muslims, and please remember to pray Angelic protection over all of the Israeli soldiers and pilots.
